The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service Support Centre on Boucher Road in Belfast opened in Autumn 2018. Work commenced in March 2017 on the £7.8 million project, which brings together the key NIFRS operational support staff and services under one roof.
The Support Centre is also a hub for maintenance, servicing, and repair of fire appliances and operational equipment. It houses the Technical Communications workshop and standby Regional Control Centre.
Diamond were engaged by R Loughlin Electrical Services Ltd to supply, install, commission and maintain the security and life safety systems at the Support centre. The systems installed included IP video surveillance, Biometric access control, gas extinguishing, intruder and fire detection and alarm.
The life safety solution delivered to Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service incorporates the Siemens Cerberus Pro ASA Technology, which provides the industry’s first product lifetime guarantee against false alarms.
