Well-known as Northern Ireland’s leading entertainment venue, the Odyssey complex has been a Belfast landmark since its development at the beginning of the millennium.
Diamond have provided the security and life safety systems at the Odyssey complex since the beginning, as the initial installer, and ongoing maintainer. When the complex was initially built, alongside installing and commissioning the Security and Life Safety Systems, Diamond installed and commissioned the UK’s first Building Management System, with a single window platform to integrate the various systems throughout the extensive complex.
In 2013 Diamond upgraded the Fire Detection and Alarm system at the complex. The contract involved the replacement of elements within the existing fire alarm system, using a phased approach in order to maintain functionality of the networked fire alarm system. Diamond produced and adhered to a Construction Phase Plan throughout the project, as the complex remained occupied by staff and members of the public.
More recently, Diamond upgraded the Video Surveillance system at the complex, to the latest, innovative IP CCTV technology. The project was shortlisted for Security Project of the Year in the 2018 International Security and Fire Excellence Awards.
